MessageScreen is pre-configured with over
60,000 default spam-stopping rules that can be easily customized specifically
for any organization. For appliance customers, MessageScreen can reside either outside or inside the organization’s
main firewall.

of Xecuritas’s anti-virus solution is our Real-time Pattern Analysis,
a unique technology that detects emailed viruses by identifying various patterns

Flexible User Controls and End-User Quarantine
Many organizations do not implement strict anti-spam controls
because of the fear of the number of help desk calls that will come from users
who want a message blocked by the anti-spam filter. The Enhanced User Control
feature of MessageScreen allows you to put those concerns aside and let end
users determine what is considered/not considered spam for themselves.

Spam Summary
Email managers have the option to send a completely customized
spam summary to users so that they do not need to check the quarantine. Users
will never again miss an important email that has been misclassified as spam.
Test Mode
The test mode of MessageScreen allows your organization
to customize and configure your settings to guarantee the highest level of
spam blocking while allowing all wanted messages to pass through.
During test
mode, physical messages are not quarantined or deleted. MessageScreen simply
scores the message as it normally would, takes a carbon copy of the message
that exceeds the UCE or Explicit Content Thresholds, and puts that carbon copy
in quarantine. While in test mode, organizations can customize and adjust their
spam blocking thresholds so that they guarantee the highest possible spam blocking
rating. Administrators have the option of pre-pending spam classifications
to suspect messages during test mode to instruct users as to what actions will
be applied to similar messages in the future and to solicit feedback before
going live.
Advanced Spam Analytics
Xecuritas’s unique Real-time Pattern Analysis
(RPA) technology finds patterns in email outbreaks in real time. It categorizes
suspect messages as definite, probable or possible spam. Because RPA does not
rely on a lexical analysis of the message contents, but looks for patterns,
it can identify spam in any language or format (html, text, image). False positives
are near zero, particularly in person-to-person communications.
Xecuritas’s Spam Analysis Team goes beyond what
99% of other solutions provide. It analyzes messages for specific new techniques,
as opposed to simply keeping a database of exact matches to mere subject lines,
sender addresses, or words and phrases. MessageScreen’s rules and scoring
updates are created to combat even the newest spam tactics.

domain, those domains would be able to have complete control over the MessageScreen
configuration for their respective environment. Many solutions on the market
work in an all or nothing manner whereas MessageScreen offers additional granularity.
Rule and Service Updates
At Xecuritas, we

rule set. You do not have to become an anti-spam expert yourself. Many solutions
on the market offer you an out of the box rule set and then expect you to keep

Parking of Attachments
MessageScreen has the unique ability to strip attachments
from an email and park them. Once an attachment
is parked, the email message will continue to the end-user with a link to download
their attachment directly to their workstation. This functionality is used
frequently with audio, video and PowerPoint files. Parking of attachments allows
you to free up bandwidth and disk space.
Scanning for Explicit Images
MessageScreen utilizes Perception-Based
Image Retrieval (PBIR) to scan and filter images for pornographic content.
This PBIR technology breaks an image down into over 150 parameters, much as
the human brain does, and scores it based on objectionable content. It distinguishes
pornographic images from legitimate art and medical photography. MessageScreen
can recognize HTML graphics, attachments, embedded images, and images referenced
through hyperlinks—guaranteeing at least a 95% accuracy level on image
detection, which is on average 150% more accurate than any competitor.
Integration With a Storage Area Network
MessageScreen can be integrated with your
existing SAN for better storage management of the quarantine.
